SEKCAT is – SEK (Southeast Kansas) Special interest Cars & Trucks. SEKCAT’S is a Mirza Unit that have members who are interested in cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles and anything with wheels. SEKCAT’S have a meeting once a month – every 2nd Thursday of the month. We meet at a different location to give our members who live in different locations a chance to attend a meeting. Our SEKCAT Unit usually go to Opie’s in Chanute, KS, Chinese Chief in Parsons, KS. Of course, we are open to other restaurants that have a meeting room where we can meet.

Our SEKCAT Unit will participate in “Call Parades” at the Potentates calling and other parades that we have attended in the past, or been asked to attend. We also attend a variety of Car Shows in the southeast Kansas area.

Our SEKCAT Unit conducts a Car Show – called Car Art in the Park that we use as a fundraiser for the unit. Car Art in the Park is held in Chanute, KS at one of the parks. For 2023 we will be going to Katy Park which has a lot of shade trees for the cars to park under. The car show is held the 3rd week of June and we have from 30 to 60 cars at the show.
